By Car:

Buxton is only an hour's drive from the M1 and M6, Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby.

From the M1 head for Matlock and then through Bakewell, or take the A50 and A52 through Ashbourne.
From the M6 take Junction 14 through Stone and Leek, Junction 17 through Congleton or Junction 19 through Knutsford and Macclesfield.
From Manchester take the A6 to Buxton.
From Sheffield come via the Hope Valley and then the A6.
From Nottingham take the A610 and then the A6.
From Derby take the A52 to Ashbourne and then the A515.
From Macclesfield take the A537.
From Congleton take the A54.

By Rail:

There are regular inter-city trains from London Euston to Manchester, Stockport and Macclesfield with connecting services to Buxton (Macclesfield to Buxton is a bus link taking approximately half an hour).
