The Spring Gardens Shopping Centre is delighted to throw its weight behind the campaign to raise money for equipment for Buxton's new Community First Responder Group.
Assistant Centre Manager Colin Beswick was one of the new First Responders in Buxton, who are called out at the same time as an ambulance in any life threatening situation. In many instances the First Responders arrive at the scene of an incident before an ambulance or other paramedics can get there, and by doing so they really make the difference between life and death.

The Buxton Commuity First Responders rely on donations to survive and grow. Although supervised by St Johns in everything they do, the local group is independent and has to raise all its own funds.
The group is very grateful to have received donations from Westgrove (the centre's cleaning contractor), Buxton Round Table, Buxton and District Lions, The Phoenix Lodge of St Ann, Waitrose, RAOB, BBR Roofing, and many others.
Please watch out for fund raising activities in and around Buxton, or if you prefer simply send in a cheque made out to St John's Ambulance, c/o Spring Gardens Shopping Centre, Buxton, SK17 6DF.
We hope you can help us to keep the Buxton Community First Responders going!
